TOR Browser And Anonsurf On My Kali Linux

Today I just realised that Linux is fun. I have heard most of the Linux lovers will never turn back to Windows. Not me, I would say and stay closer to windows to get fresh air. Haha Seriously, Linux is fun if you continuously learn their things on how it works. It's amazing. Just now, I installed TOR browser, it is like magic. You will become anonymous to everyone because your IP address will be different from the real ones. Also, Anonsurf is great stuff as well. You can be anonymous too. It is a great tool for sneaking but not good for UNethical hacking. I downloaded this software for learning purposes only.

Although this procedure still exist nowadays but without knowledge on how to make a simple data cable connection, you won't be able to stream movies and connect online.

Kali Linux Installation

I am glad that I have installed Kali Linux operating system with no issue at all. Before I install Kali I read some blog on how to install it. They've said that there are some issue that you will encounter during the installation. Yes, I have encountered issues but they are manageable. With my patience and eagerness to learn, issues won't be a problem.

The steps to install Kali, first you must have a thumb drive about 8 Gb in capacity. Then download Rufus and Kali linux. Save it in to your machine. Unzipped Kali image file then run the executable file of your Rufus. Make sure to set your BIOS and enable the external device on your BIOS for your thumb drive to detect during boot up. Set to primary the external drive on your BIOS then click F10 to save. Reboot the system then choose Kali Linux to install. Just follow and read the instruction from the display. You will not lose unless you are reading it carefully from your monitor. During installation you will engage in conflict with the missing network driver for your machine (mine is Sony Vaio). Mr Google is there to help and assist you. Google it and you will find the answer. In less than an hour depending in your system, Kali will be up and running. Then, there you go. Its time to explore, play with and penetrate the system. If there are any questions please feel free to ping me and I am happy to assist you with the best of my knowledge. Goodluck.

I am CompTIA Network+ and CIOS certified

After passing the CompTIA A+ exam last August 2020, I made up my mind to continue to study, refresh and learn the concept of how the computer networking works. Computer network - is a group of computers that use a set of common communication protocols over digital interconnections for the purpose of sharing resources located on or provided by the network nodes. As a computer engineering graduate with 5 years full time experienced in IT and customer service, getting certified in CompTIA Network is not an easy way to pass. You must have a dedication, motivation and eagerness to learn to pass the exam. Everyday I spent a minimum of 2 to 4 hours to study for four straight months. I decided to take the exam until I am confident and brave enough. Until one day, I am happy to pass and get certified as a Network and CIO specialist.

Clearing The Bios and Cleaning the CPU Fan of my Old Laptop

Recently, I am disk partitioning my laptop from the disk management through the third party software EASEUS. I tried to move the files from one drive to another drive partition, the computer found errors and stopped working from the time I restarted the computer. What? Are you kidding me. I tried to figure it out to solve the issue. I made 2 attempts to solve the issue but failed until  I decided to open the laptop. I found it so dusty especially the fan yet the issue was not about the dust inside. I reconnected every cable as well including the hard drive, fan and the so-dimm memory. I found the CMOS battery, reset it and rebooted the system. When the system worked fine, I reassembled everything. Another problem appeared when I turned the Windows on. No internet, I accessed the command prompt, I pinged the address. I released and renewed the IP and flushed the DNS as well but nothing worked.  I went back, then reinstalled and updated the network drivers but still no connection. I cleared the cache, deleted the browsing history and it worked. Now my laptop CPU fan is cleaned and worked perfectly. Also, I checked and disabled the updates for this Windows OS 3 years ago. My 9 years old mate still works fine until now. I am planning to assemble a rig (only if I have extra money) with virtualization and install a VLAN for penetration testing lab. Happy me!

Inside Linux Ubuntu 20.04

This morning I decided to change the old operating system of my Sony Vaio Windows 7 into Linux Ubuntu. I have been a Windows user since windows 95 was born 25 years ago. Until now I still have my other old Windows 7 Home which I still used. I have no trouble with this system because I can fix it if there is an issue. Well, back to my latest Ubuntu. I love this distros because I can learn the new way on how to use the CLI (Command Line Interface). Also, it has a 3 years LTS (Long Time Support) and 5 years for Ubuntu Server.
