How To Erase And Factory Reset Macbook Pro
Currently I owned three old laptops. Those three laptops are running with three different operating systems. My first purchased was my Acer Timeline X which is 10 years old now. The installed OS is Windows 7 Home. I used this for editing photos especially photoshop. Although a bit outdated but running in a good condition. My second is the Sony Vaio 13" laptop. It is not actually mine but since no one is using it, I considered it as officially mine. The operating system before was Windows 7 Home but I had changed in to Kali Linux for educational and learning purposes. Changing the system from Windows 7 to Kali Linux is not that complicated if you have gathered all the information before you proceed to reinstall it otherwise your laptop will be compromised.
My 3rd is my Apple Macbook Pro 13" 2012 laptop which is having a Catalina OS. This is a 9 years old laptop but it works like a beast. A very powerful machine yet it has only a 128GB SSD HD and 8 GB 1600 DDR3 memory.
To erase and factory reset please follow some steps. Firstly, you must backup all your important files and save it to the other external drive. Next, sign out all your iTunes, iCloud and iMessage then shutdown your machine. After shutting down press altogether the following keys from your keyboard which are Option Command and R then hit the power button. Do not release and keep your fingers on hold in the keyboard until you will see the the spinning circle (earth). From there you will be given options from MacOS Utilities.
Choose and click Disk Utility and start erasing Macintosh HD. After erasing the HD click the option Reinstall MacOS then follow and read the steps. Done. You have now a fresh and newly installed OS.
